2023.03.23 20:26 situationally_aware Phone Staying Connected to Delta WiFi?

This used to not be a problem for me, but for the past 2-3 months, my phone loses connected to the onboard wifi on a regular basis.
This never happens on my computer, so I suspect that it something on my iPhone.
I've reset the network settings, I don't have a VPN running, etc.
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this, and if so, whether they were able to determine a fix.
Device is an iPhone 14 running iOS 16.4, but the same thing happened on earlier version of iOS 16.

**Introduction** 1) Will this be your first dog? If not, what experience do you have owning/training dogs? * My first dog owned exclusively by me. I did some basic obedience work with my parents' dog when they got her. 2) Do you have a preference for rescuing a dog vs. going through a [reputable breeder]( http://ownresponsibly.blogspot.com/2011/07/identifying-reputable-breeder.html)? * I'm open to a rescue but most of the dogs locally are just too big and too high energy so I'll likely use a breeder. 3) Describe your ideal dog. * Low energy quiet cuddle buddy who's happy with just a few laps around the block and some indoor playtime, but is also okay being left alone for a few hours. 4) What breeds or types of dogs are you interested in and why? * Chinese Crested, specifically a powder puff. They're not nearly as high energy as some other small breeds. They're quiet, cuddly, and cute. They honestly kind of look like a taller Yorkie to me. The powder puff is also less prone to losing teeth. Because of where I live I would probably get some sort of indoor grass setup for toileting purposes. * Whippet. They run like mad and then plop on the couch. They have a unique body shape and they're not prone to barking. The only problem is that I don't have a fully enclosed space to let one run. 5) What sorts of things would you like to train your dog to do? * Basic obedience bare minimum. 2023.03.23 19:40 gandalfpr Paramount + and Peacock do not stream contents with Chromecast 4K

Hi all,
I have a Chromecast 4K since November 2022 (purchased the one that came bundled with a Stranger Things "Eleven" Funko Pop!, part # GA04317-US) and I noticed that there are a few apps that seem to work fine but every time I tried to watch anything from them, I can see the ads but not the show or movie (just stays perpetually in a black screen with a oscillating wait indicator). I tried to fix it performing a factory reset of the unit and after just activating again my Peacock and Paramount + apps, I'm still having the same issues.
I also tried, per Google Support, to change my Google account, and same happens. Also tried to create a new one and nothing.
Google then sent me a new Chromecast unit in replacement of the old one.... again, the same is still happening.
I'm stating to believe that somehow this problem is related to my modem/router (an Eero supplied by Frontier) but I can't find anything to configure from that end. I have several streaming equipment including a Nvidia Shield, TIVO, Roku, etc, and NONE of those have any issues with these applications. Is there anything that I can do? Thank you!

Lance Reddick (1962-2023)

On Friday, we all learned of the tragic news of Lance Reddick’s passing at the age of 60. As the voice of Commander Zavala—the stalwart commander of the Vanguard—Lance brought to life a character who has become virtually synonymous with Destiny itself. For nearly a decade, Guardians around the world have found purpose and comfort in Zavala’s presence, bolstered by that unmistakable voice, so full of strength, serenity, and nobility.
The tributes that have poured in for Lance have been overwhelming; from endless heartfelt messages on social media to impromptu gatherings of respect in Zavala’s corner of the Tower, overlooking the Last City. As an actor, musician, gamer, and family man, the passion Lance brought to the things he loved was reflected in the eyes and hearts of all who loved him.
For now, we will honor his presence through his performances yet to come in the game, and in the memories that will last us a lifetime. We are deeply saddened by his passing but so thankful for the time we spent together, and our thoughts are with his friends and loved ones.
Thank you for everything, Lance. We will miss you.

Raid Master Mode and Challenge Rotation Starts Next Week

It’s time Guardians, raid Weekly Challenges are here.
Raid Master difficulty offers a higher challenge and greater rewards, including armor with a weekly rotating stat focus. The Weekly Challenges add an optional hidden objective to one encounter each week that, when completed, grant extra loot. On Normal difficulty they drop double rewards. When cleared on Master difficulty, they reward an Adept raid weapon.
As noted in a previous article, enhancing Master Root of Nightmares Adept weapons will be possible, allowing the traits that rolled on the weapon to be upgraded. This capability will not be immediately available when the Master raid launches and will arrive in the mid-Season patch. The raid Adept weapons you acquire prior to this patch will still be able to be enhanced, so you'll want to avoid throwing out any good rolls.
Before Master difficulty releases, we wanted to talk about two issues pertaining to Root of Nightmares.
The first being Nezarec’s behavior. Sometimes, Nezarec doesn't always respond to players when they are standing in a Well of Radiance. In a future update we will be updating this behavior, which in turn should make Nezarec feel more like the Final God of Pain. While it is our philosophy to avoid making dramatic tuning changes to an activity once it is live, we feel it better to address the responsiveness of the boss and accept that it may alter current strategies and increased the level of challenge.
The second issue we’d like to discuss is around the jump pads that can be found throughout Root of Nightmares (specifically in the second encounter Scission). The jump pads are a tool to help players cross large areas while allowing players to use Strand (if they’d like) to circumvent using the jump pads. We’ve noticed that players with higher framerates (usually above 80 FPS, but not below 60 FPS) could be unintentionally killed or almost killed by using the jump pads. We're investigating a change to address the issue in an upcoming release.

Guardian Ranks Updates

As we’ve watched new and veteran players alike work through their Guardian Ranks since Lightfall’s launch, we realized the Legendary and Master Lost Sector objectives were placed a bit too early in the progression. In today’s update, we've moved both the solo completion and solo flawless objectives up to a higher Guardian Rank, so fewer players will hit the same bottleneck at Rank 6:

  • Certain Heavy weapon archetypes are not benefitting from equipping a third reserve mod.
  • Unpowered melee can produce fast melee combos in quick succession.
  • Commendations are greyed out as already given in some activities.
  • Master dungeons aren't showing Artifice armor in the reward preview when selecting the activity.
  • The Shielded Foes activity modifier is showing a placeholder icon.
  • We are investigating an issue causing players to be unable to join Competitive Crucible matches after their in-game suspension is scheduled to expire. Players affected by this issue can resolve it by playing a match of Competitive Crucible with an alternate character.
  • Players in Legend and Master Lost Sectors and Master Wellspring can become softlocked on a black screen when wiping to orbit. Players in this state can manually return to orbit to fix the issue.

Hi all,
My brother finished college and as a present I want to build him a PC.
I haven't built one before so I'm having a hard time making some final decisions.
I'm based in the US and there is no limit on the budget. The PC will be almost exclusively be used for gaming, watching videos, and reddit.
My brother plays mostly LoL, EU4, Civ 6, CK3, and some AAA games here and there (Death Stranding, Hitman 3, etc.).
I'm hoping that this would last him at least 5 years, preferably more.

My concerns are:
  1. Should I upgrade to i7-13700KF? Most of the research on comparison of the two seems to show that the i7 is more budget efficient but I have no problem dropping another $100 for better future use.
  2. I can't seem to find good suggestions on the motherboard so I just picked a popular one on newegg. Is there any suggestions or is this good enough?
  3. Should the 7900XTX suffice or are there cost efficient benefits in upgrading to the 4080 or 4090? I'm also getting 4k monitors for him so I want it to be able to handle 4k gaming as well.
  4. Currently I have chosen Samsung 980 Pro 2TB over 990 Pro 1TB because the storage is higher. But I'm concerned about the difference in the former being NVMe 1.3c and the latter being NVMe 2.0. What is this and is there a significant difference in the two?
  5. What do I need to add to make sure the system support bluetooth and wifi?
I hope this build makes sense. Newegg didn't spew out any compatibility issues but I wanted a final check from the pros.

This is the only tip from her video that actually makes sense because besides the original watermark of Tiktok & Capcut.
In free version of Capcut, there are rumours of an invisible watermark that helps algorithm differentiate between original content and Tiktok reshared content.
IG recommended in the past too. To edit videos within reels app for better reach.

Algorithm Favours Who Post Everyday

This is bull crap, obviously Instagram will say that in their creator meeting to influence creators to post everyday.
Listen an average Instagram user will end up consuming 100 different posts after liking your post. And they will forget about the post.
You can never be consistent enough because people are consuming more but businesses are creating less content. And both numbers can never match.
Don’t burnout from trying to post everyday. Try to create content that people remember, share personalised content focused on buyer personas.

Reels Algorithm Favours Videos with 9:16 Format

This is not only algorithm, you should utilise the full space a content format gives you to target your followers. And on reels try to utilise the whole 9:16 aspect ratio to make people feel engaged with your content.

Instagram Wants you to use 3-5 Hashtags

The issue here is studies show the difference that number of hashtags brings to your engagement rate is 1% increase or decrease in the rate. No matter you used 5 or 30 hashtags.
But the numbers lie too. The majority of Instagram users end up using same trendy hashtags within a niche. That don’t bring engagement due to heavy use.
Try to be niche specific with your hashtags to have more engagement & reach from each hashtag you include in post.

It is always good to add relevant keywords to your Instagram captions but don’t stuff it for search Visibility.
