Here's the summary of me in short:
1. Flaking and excuses

I have a lot of friends and good friends. I sometimes hang out with them if I feel like it - typically at parties but never casual hanging out. But mostly, I am cancelling and flaking on them even when they call me and really want to hang out with me - yes I am a heartless prick, stay tuned it gets worse.

2. I like to spend time on my own with my interests and with my family

My family is very small, I have no cousins, tons of uncles and aunts who I rarely see, only one little sister who is the utter opposite of me and two lovely parents whos getting older too soon and sadly ill; my father has been diagnosed with dementia and my mother has trouble walking. They are in their 50s; its too soon some would say, but I think thats just nature.

3. I dont like people

I dont think I am an introvert, I just dont like to hang out with people except my family. I have been told I am very funny and festive but anyway.

4. I lack interest in you people / apathetic

I think I am very cold, heartless and careless of my friends and people in general, because I dont really care about you, your lives, if you have a bad day or a good one - what does it concern me or you? I never express it though - I am not patrick bateman - so I just pretend with smiles and kindness like "ok nice, good for you, I am happy for you" blah.

5. I dont like to be hugged

I feel extremely uncomfortable if people are getting emotional so I have to escape - especially around girls, and I only deal with my own pain and sadness if I experience it in solitude.

6. I show no excitement or zest for life

All my studying and getting my internship paving the way for my future career as a diplomat have been only for making my parents and my little sister proud. Frankly, I dont really care myself, and I think life in general is utter shit despite the fact that I have been born in a highly developed social-democratic welfare society. I have tried most stuff - dived with sharks, freefall from an airplane, lost my virginity which was super boring and crap, partying but nah. I do like to travel, watch movies, read books, play video games and discuss Plato's ideas with myself, but it costs money and time.

7. No filter and careless

I often say very ironic, extreme sarcastic and absurd jokes including sexism, holocaust etc. I dont care what other people think or feel afterwards - some laugh, most feel offended and that only makes me do it more. It does however depends on the environment - I would of course never go into a synagogue and yell heil hitler, but I would outside. Maybe I just like being controversial and making people feel awkward, especially with all this woke culture.

8. Politically unpopular

I am what you would call a crypto-facisist; I think an authoritarian, totalitarian state would be the most developing in terms of technology, research, social welfare and economy and therefore happiness through unity. But I ackknowledge that such a system would never work today with human rights, equality and the democratic world order, so I would never support it in reality. Social democracy seems to be the best structure as of right now, but maybe Polybius' theory of the anacyclosis might change our world order if his theory holds true.

9. Sometimes cynical, paranoid and pessimistic

I often have disdainful mistrust of others and their motives, I am inclined to excessive worrying and irrational suspicion on people's intentions and I am often inclined to focus on the negative and expect the worst possible outcome. Yes, how will I ever become a diplomat? Its simple: I pretend around you muggles.
If anything, this world is extremely unstable, dark, cruel and without hope in where survival of the fittest is the only dominating factor of humanity - I have never seen nor experienced love and humility. Why would you ever hand over your emotions and trust to anyone besides your dear family and yourself? History would surely agree with this statement.

10. I will end up alone and it is my own fault

I will lose most, if not all my friends once I graduate and find a full-time job where I will most likely move away from my country and work in a competitive selfish environment.
I will not find the one girl, get married and have children like the traditional story for all life. It would be too difficult for me to get into a relationship where you have to open up. I am not fit to be a parent (ironically, Plato would say that those who do not seek parenthood are most fit for it) and I also lack an interest in any relationship whatsoever *surprise*.
I plan to make the ultimate sacrifize and commit myself to the state as a diplomat. I will watch my little sister pursue the traditional achievements in life like marriage and children that would be my only comfort and happiness, but I am not gonna be the cool uncle. The money I earn will be spent on travelling. The loss of my parents when that day comes will destroy me completely and I am unsure if I will be able to go through it alive.

These are the perfect traits for a James Bond / Joker villain haha :D But I hope you can at least give me some advice, otherwise, dont be like me. Dont waste your life on self-pity.

I've been working on a 100% free and open source app for watching Chinese TV called Lazybug. The main difference between this and something like Language Reactor is that it provides subtitles that have been extracted from hard-subs. For now it only works on embeddable Youtube videos but I'm working to publish an extension, and also support more sites like Bilibili where there are more Donghua's I imagine.
So, I'm posting this here in case there are any Chinese learners that might find it useful. Right now there are only a few shows included that could be considered Donghua (King's Avatar, Legend of Hei (the movie), White Cat Legend and Romance of the Three Kingdoms), but anything that exists on Youtube with soft or hard subs can potentially be processed and added, let me know if you have any requests.
It might be useful for non-learners as well, as all the subtitles are run though deepl.com translation, but I know machine translated subtitles are often hard to understand and contains errors...

Sometime you can choose between different video format (you what I mean). I know recent codecs are better since they have a more efficient compression, but sometime they also have such a low bitrate which that might be considered a worse option compared to an older codec. Also, increasing resolution can be harmful if the bitrate is not high enough.
Just to give you an example, given these 3 options, which would be your ranking (based on final better visual experience)?

1080p / x264 / ~7Mbps
1080p / x265 / ~2Mbps
4k / x265 / ~5Mbps

I know there are also other factors (like number of passes, presets and so on), but as a general rule of thumb how do you usually judge them?
