For context I'm 23M. I'm of south asian descent. I'm about 5'8 and of toned but muscular build, with a slight accent from english not being my first language. I go out with my white, arab, black, and east asian friends a lot and they all seem to have no issue getting with all these beautiful girls. However as the only brown guy, I've noticed that I'm always the one who goes back home alone. I never thought about this until I stumbled upon some youtube videos lately.
I don't think my game is bad. I've been told by many people that I'm a fun person to talk to and I can make people laugh pretty easily. I don't look like a model but I don't think I look hideous either. I'm active and fit, and I volunteer at an animal sanctuary. I'm also stronger than pretty much all my friends being able to outlift all of them and taking muay thai. Only issue is my hairline is receding. All in all, I think I'm an interesting guy. But everytime I approach a girl, it's always no. Tinder same thing; 2 matches per month and they never respond while every other guy I know will have 20+ likes at any given moment.
I talked about my dating struggles with my friend and he (who's also brown) suggested that race might have something to do with it and I've been down this rabbit hole now. It feels so demoralizing to think that the stereotypes associated with people who simply look like me is having such a negative impact when I never chose this. Am I just not made to have a successful dating life here in North America?

2023.03.21 11:02 BabyKoalaDiet I need to hear the hard truth so I can stop day dreaming at work.

So I know you might get this posts quite often but I'm also considering moving to Australia. I was originally born in Germany, currently living here for the past 5 years, but lived most of my life in South America basically, because of my parents jobs.
The thing is I'm 31, unfortunately never finished my studies (which are shit either way, a master in international relationships, you can figure out what my parents do and what they wanted me to do) so that makes me the black sheep in the family. Funnily enough I developed a love for logistics in all it's forms and variations and have been working the past 9 years in 3 different companies so far doing that, from administrative to hands-on jobs or both at the same time, it's not a huge list but it covers a ton of things.
So 5 years ago I decided to come to my home country and.... I don't like it. It's not that I don't like the country itself but I struggle to connect with Germans of my own age, I feel I'm an alien when talking with most of the German people I've met, but don't get me wrong it's not that I hate them or something, it's just the human connection and specially cultural differences make it really hard to me wanting to be around them. Of course this is not always the case and I have made a handful of good friends who I still rarely see because peoples schedules here are a nightmare.
So I started thinking that maybe I should just go for greener pastures and since I've always loved the land down under and everything with it (all this from a month vacation I had there 15 years ago and YouTube so... maybe I'm a bit uninformed or biased) I thought "why not?".
Then I started researching how it could be done aaaand yeah, I don't realistically have chance, do I? No degree, above 30yo, logistics isn't really a super niche profession, so I just suck it up and try to make it work here I guess.
Unless there's a way to magically get a visa, an affordable apartment (hahahaha) and work. Naja, at least putting it in words gave me the answer already. Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

Debated whether to post this on her or vindicta. I will write about my social observations in terms of men and women and beauty and socioeconomic status. This place is in the west of the US where the ultra wealthy go to ski. Think 3k a night minimum in high season. Met CEOs of multi billion dollar companies…big money. I am no longer single or on the market but have made some observations this week that you may find interesting and insightful. I will talk about race from an objective standpoint. I am Latina and so is my husband FYI
  1. Beauty wise. Most men here are white and most wives are white too. Not exceedingly beautiful kinda plain. All very thin and you can tell they work out a lot. Very very fit. Not a single unlean woman. Great skin with no sun damage. Good hair cuts. I felt out of place with my curves and my darker skin and I could tell people weren’t super friendly to us due to that. White people t me to talk to White people, but we were ok. Possibly the only Latinos here. A few wealthy Indian tech people.
  2. Wealth here is super understated. No LVs no brands no labels . Maybe a moncler and Canada Goose. Again understated. Think opposite of Dubai opposite of LA opposite of Miami.
  3. Great place to meet single dudes. The Apres ski is where it’s at. So if you can come to these places for lunch or dinner with a group of girls you will meet tons of men. I saw it happening before my eyes.
  4. Education is important and everything in these circles , not beauty. Most parents talked about college applications to Ivies and most guys went to good schools. Think Dartmouth and Stanford. But education is your ticket! Like I said not looks. You don’t need to go to an Ivy just have high education and be cultured and read. Don’t act like a social climber. There are tons of scholarships for women of color and Latinos. Feel free DM me if you have any questions.
  5. Skiing is where it’s at. It’s a wealthy sport like golfing and horseback riding. I know the access is not for everyone if you didn’t grow. Up learning . But it concentrates people from high Socioeconomic status. If you can take a few lessons in low key cheaper places ( small mountains on the east coast) as have some knowledge of green and blue slopes that’s a plus. I had a friend who was a SB and her SD was always so upset she couldn’t keep up with him on weekends skiing. He paid for lessons but he went out skiing with friends while she was at the bottom.

For context I'm 23M. I'm of south asian descent. I'm about 5'8 and of toned but muscular build, with a slight accent from english not being my first language. I go out with my white, arab, black, and east asian friends a lot and they all seem to have no issue getting with all these beautiful girls. However as the only brown guy, I've noticed that I'm always the one who goes back home alone. I never thought about this until I stumbled upon some youtube videos lately.
I don't think my game is bad. I've been told by many people that I'm a fun person to talk to and I can make people laugh pretty easily. I don't look like a model but I don't think I look hideous either. I'm active and fit, and I volunteer at an animal sanctuary. I'm also stronger than pretty much all my friends being able to outlift all of them and taking muay thai. Only issue is my hairline is receding. All in all, I think I'm an interesting guy. But everytime I approach a girl, it's always no. Tinder same thing; 2 matches per month and they never respond while every other guy I know will have 20+ likes at any given moment. The industry I work in is a sausage fest.
I talked about my dating struggles with my friend and he (who's also brown) suggested that race might have something to do with it and I've been down this rabbit hole now. It feels so demoralizing to think that the stereotypes associated with people who simply look like me is having such a negative impact when I never chose this. Am I just not made to have a successful dating life here in North America?

Glynda looks back up at Ruby and screams in panic and terror as the cute girls face has morphed into a full on black rage furious expression more akin to a savage wolf than anything as she bites the Riding Crop, and yanks it out of Glynda's hand.
Glynda leaps into Roman's arms in fear, who in turn leaps into Cinder's arm who came out to check the commotion, and now all three are scared shitless as Ruby grinds her teeth on the lazy yet surprisingly durable weapon.
Ruby: I could tolerate nameless thugs having shitty mono weapons. But a named character Glynda right?
Glynda: Yeah...?
Ruby: And what's your role again?
Glynda: I am a teacher at Beacon.... the vice principal?
Ruby: And they give you a fucking riding crop? Not even a wand thing or something else?
Ruby slowly turns around away from the trio, as she stares directly into the camera, then she punches it! Glass shattering and with a howl and snarl, she leaps past the hole she made, as Glynda and Roman and Cinder can only watch.
Ruby: SO A FUCKING RIDING CROP!
Jemina: WE DIDN'T MAKE THAT!!!

Jimmy: Well... we technically made this satire... but...

Tosses the Broom away, creating a massive explosion off screen that shakes the camera, making Jemina and Jimmy cry out in pain even more.

Clicks a button, and the wand shoots Lasers! And another click of a different button also creates a lightsaber!
